Stardust

I’m lost for words & found in thought. Sometimes feeling as profound as puddles but drowning just the same.

When she spoke of the sun crashing to the earth and into stars, it reminded me that I was still alive. The remembrance of life came as I recalled the stardust tickling my skin and the moon beams electrifying my heart. And how I would then watch the stars coalesce into the sun while I danced to the rhythm of sirens and horns. I was protected by the trail of moonlight in the wake of dawn.

Impenetrable.

Now the glow whispers to me by way of the drafts in my window.

“Soon,” I tell it. And soon I’ll believe it.”
