I grew up in a family could barely make ends meat. It is a tricky little dish and it seemed that no one quite had the grasp of making it.
I always wondered what “barely making” ends meat meant. How can you barely make such a popular dish? Was it too hot, too cold, burnt around the edges?
I decided that I would make ends meat come hell or high water. I would make it and enjoy it. And once I mastered making it, I would make ends meat for everyone! It will be delicious.
Twenty years later, twenty years of trial and error and I am finally starting to make ends meet.
